Shuman Plastics Appoints Central de Embalagens to Represent Dyna-Purge® Thermoplastic Purging Compounds in Brazil

(JANUARY 2007) – Shuman Plastics, Inc., Buffalo, New York, USA announces the appointment of Central de Embalagens(A. M. Roman Commercial, Import and Export Ltd.),San Paulo, Brazil, as the new distributor of Dyna-Purge® thermoplastic purging compounds in Brazil. Josephine (Joie) Komarmi, Dyna-Purge International Business Manager, made the announcement.

The company was established in 1996 by Ademar Roman and Mauricio Roman as a sales representative of flexible packaging, including film and bottles. Ademar Roman is the author of Polyethylene Transformation and numerous technical articles. He has more than 35 years of plastics market experience and processing equipment.

Central de Embalagens provides assistance to processors in the areas of extrusion, blow molding and injection molding and will stock Dyna-Purge in San Paulo. Mr. Ademar Roman and his son Mauricio Roman, will manage sales of Dyna-Purge for Shuman Plastics throughout Brazil.

The Dyna-Purge line includes 10 engineered compounds for cleaning injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, compounding, and blown and cast (coextrusion) film production equipment for resin, color and formulations changes, routine and preventive maintenance, and prior to machine shutdown and start-up. Introduced more than 20 years ago, Dyna-Purge is reported to improve purging efficiency and performance while lowering purging costs and increasing productivity.

According to the Shuman Plastics, Dyna-Purge cleans on the first pass, minimizing machine downtime and reducing scrap. It is non-chemical and non-abrasive, so it does not cause wear on machines and is safe for operators and safe for disposal. In addition, the company states, Dyna-Purge is packaged ready to use. There is no soaking or mixing required. It is introduced at the resident resin processing temperature and RPM speed. Thermally stable, Dyna-Purge has unlimited shelf life.
