Shuman Plastics Appoints Fitzpatrick Enterprises, Inc. to Represent Dyna-Purge® Thermoplastic Purging Compounds in Central America

(MAY 2007) – Shuman Plastics, Inc., Buffalo, New York, USA announces the appointment of Fitzpatrick Enterprises, Inc. (FEI), of Miami, Florida, USA as the sales agent for Dyna-Purge® thermoplastic purging compounds in Central America, including Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Josephine (Joie) Komarmi, Dyna-Purge International Business Manager, made the announcement.

FEI will represent the complete line of 10 Dyna-Purge engineered purging compounds for distribution to dealers and plastics processors in the region. Founded in 1976, FEI was first appointed sales agent for Dyna-Purge in the Caribbean in May, 1998 and specializes in the sale of raw materials for the plastics industry. Lucy Flack, Vice President, will manage sales of Dyna-Purge for the company. Fluent in English and Spanish, Ms. Flack’s extensive experience in dealing with the Central American market includes 20 years working for FEI.

Dyna-Purge thermoplastic purging compounds clean injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, compounding, and blown film production equipment for resin, color and formulation changes, routine and preventive maintenance, and prior to machine shutdown and start-up. Introduced 25 years ago, Dyna-Purge is reported to improve purging efficiency and performance while lowering purging costs and increasing productivity.

According to the Shuman Plastics, Dyna-Purge cleans on the first pass, minimizing machine downtime and reducing scrap. It is non-chemical and non-abrasive, so it does not cause wear on machines and is safe for operators and safe for disposal. In addition, the company states, Dyna-Purge is packaged ready to use. There is no soaking or mixing required. It is introduced at the resident resin processing temperature and RPM speed. Thermally stable, Dyna-Purge has unlimited shelf life.
