Dyna-Purge® Announces New & Improved Dyna-Purge® SF Engineered Purging Compound

Lowers purging costs up to 46% compared to other commercial purging products, according to laboratory trial results

(SEPTEMBER 2008) — The Dyna-Purge® Division of Shuman Plastics, Inc., Depew (Buffalo), NY, has introduced the company's latest technology breakthrough-- New & Improved Dyna-Purge® SF engineered purging compound for use in a broad range of extrusion applications. Dyna-Purge® is exhibiting at Plastec® Midwest, Rosemont, IL, Booth #3716.

According to Tim Cutler, Dyna-Purge® Business Manager, the enhanced formulation of new Dyna-Purge® SF works faster and requires less material than other types of commercial purging compounds, and lowers the cost-to-purge up to 46% compared to mechanical/chemical (hybrid) and mechanical (abrasive) brands tested.

"Lab trials comparing non-abrasive Dyna-Purge SF to hybrid and abrasive brands show a dramatic reduction of material required using our new grade, and purging and post-purge times are significantly improved," he explained. "The end results are a cost-to-purge for Dyna-Purge® SF, which is 46% better versus the hybrid compound and 40% better versus the abrasive compound."

Developed as part of the company’s continuous product innovation program, Dyna-Purge® SF is safe and easy to use in extrusion applications such as profile, sheet, cast film, blown film and compounding. The purging compound is engineered to clean better, leaving no residue behind, and to eliminate black specks and gels. It improves changeover times, lowers scrap rates, and reduces bubble breaks, as well as wrinkles or lines in film. In addition, no mixing or soaking or machine adjustments are required to use Dyna-Purge SF.

As part of the new product introduction, plastics processors can take advantage of a special offer of a free 10 pound sample of Dyna-Purge® SF. Or, they can purchase a 55 pound box of New & Improved Dyna-Purge® SF, which comes with a Satisfaction Guarantee -- if the user is not satisfied that it performs better than their current purging compound, Dyna-Purge® will fully refund the cost of the product.
