Shuman Plastics Appoints Two Distributors to Represent Dyna-Purge® Thermoplastic Purging Compounds in China
(MAY 2004) – Shuman Plastics, Inc., Buffalo, New York, USA announces the appointment of Takeishi Oil & Chemical Co., Ltd. and EPChem International Pte. Ltd. as distributors of Dyna-Purge® thermoplastic purging compounds in China. A Dyna-Purge distributor in Hong Kong and Macau since 1995, Takeishi will represent Dyna-Purge in the Southern China Provinces of Guangdong, Fujian, and Sichun, plus Tianjin City in Northern China. EPChem, appointed in 2003 as the Dyna-Purge distributor for Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, will represent Dyna-Purge in the Provinces of Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Jiangxi, and Liaoning. Josephine (Joie) Komarmi, Dyna-Purge International Business Manager, made the announcement.
Founded in 1991, Takeishi is headquartered in Hong Kong and has multiple liaison offices in China and one registered International Trading Company at the Bonded Zone of Tianjin City, selling PolyOne Engineering compounds, PVC specialty molding compounds, and assorted chemicals, lubricants, and processing aids. EPChem was also established in 1991 and is a marketing, distribution and manufacturing company that supplies special performance chemicals and other materials and products in Asia. The company represents manufacturers from Europe and the United States covering polymer processing, candles, adhesives and sealants, bitumen modification, precision tooling, metalworking, and other industries. Ms. Chew Choon Leng and Mr. Jonathan Woodworth of EPChem manage Dyna-Purge sales for the company.
The Dyna-Purge line (to be featured at the K Show October 20 - 27, 2004, Düsseldorf, Germany, in the North American Pavilion, Booth #13B59-6) includes 10 compounds for cleaning injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, compounding, and blown film production equipment for resin, color and formulation changes, routine and preventive maintenance, and prior to machine shutdown and start-up. Introduced more than 20 years ago, Dyna-Purge is reported to improve purging efficiency and performance while lowering purging costs and increasing productivity.
According to the company, Dyna-Purge cleans on the first pass, minimizing machine downtime and reducing scrap. It is non-chemical and non-abrasive, so it does not cause wear on machines and is safe for operators and safe for disposal. In addition, the company states, Dyna-Purge is packaged ready to use. There is no soaking or mixing required. It is introduced at the resident resin processing temperature and RPM speed. Thermally stable, Dyna-Purge has unlimited shelf life.
