Shuman Plastics Appoints Quimico Plásticos to Represent Dyna-Purge^® Thermoplastic Purging Compounds in Colombia

(February 2005) – Shuman Plastics, Inc., Buffalo, New York, USA announces the appointment of Quimico Plásticos (QP) as the new distributor of Dyna-Purge^® thermoplastic purging compounds in Colombia. Josephine (Joie) Komarmi, Dyna-Purge International Business Manager, made the announcement.

Founded in 1982, QP is a leading distribution company in Colombia, South America, supplying the plastics industry with a wide range of thermoplastic resins, pigments, process aids, additives and Dyna-Purge purging compounds. QP maintains extensive product inventories, and facilitates orders and shipments direct from its principals to its customers. In addition, QP states that it provides strong technical support for all product lines and coordinates "just-in-time" delivery and requirements for its customers. Federico Londoño, Vice President of QP, manages Dyna-Purge sales for the company.

The Dyna-Purge line includes 10 compounds for cleaning injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, compounding, and blown film production equipment for resin, color and formulation changes, routine and preventive maintenance, and prior to machine shutdown and start-up. Introduced more than 20 years ago, Dyna-Purge is reported to improve purging efficiency and performance while lowering purging costs and increasing productivity.

According to the company, Dyna-Purge cleans on the first pass, minimizing machine downtime and reducing scrap. It is non-chemical and non-abrasive, so it does not cause wear on machines and is safe for operators and safe for disposal. In addition, the company states, Dyna-Purge is packaged ready to use. There is no soaking or mixing required. It is introduced at the resident resin processing temperature and RPM speed. Thermally stable, Dyna-Purge has unlimited shelf life.
